"Amount Purchased" is Casein on True Gesso Board, 4.5"x3"
I had to scratch an itch. I wanted to paint another piece in casein, and I wanted to do something with a minimized background, like the hyper realists do, and I wanted to use a limited color palette. So many of my pieces are bright, bold colors. I just wanted to take a little break. So, I did.

This is sure a beautiful old cash register! Is that a marble shelf in front? A truly decadent machine here, Deb! Your meticulous detail always makes your pieces bright, with or without bright colors.

I think you made the perfect choice with your limited palette and background choice Deb - it really adds to the atmosphere and olde worldliness. I love the subjcet and the detail in this little gem!!! :)
